A convoy with important cargo
On Thursday 5 December at 7:00 am we said goodbye to the convoy.
It started with a bus, an articulated truck consisting of a trailer and a Sprinter. The 40-ton truck started from Bocholt.
The vehicles are loaded with relief supplies such as:
Clothes, blankets, as well as beds, mattresses, bedding from a hotel liquidation.
Furthermore, with fire extinguishers, self-made trench candles, an industrial kitchen for Kharkiv, school furniture (tables and chairs), dishes, towels, children's toys and much more.
The preparations
Thanks to Ulli’s professional work, the roof window in the bus was sealed.
The bus and the containers for the articulated train are loaded.
The start
The team is ready.
The first problem
Unfortunately, the bus broke down at the Fernthal rest area due to hydraulic problems.
The most important things, especially the Christmas presents, were loaded into the Sprinter and then we continued on.
These pictures show ubiquitous scenes - a vehicle breaks down.
A new bus is needed
Since a bus is urgently needed in Ukraine, a replacement was quickly arranged.
Arrival and long wait at the border
Finally over the border
Exhausted from the long wait and the reloading, we now continue towards the destination.
We are here and the program starts right away

Farewell with Snow
We arrived in the dark and started our journey back in the dark. If everything goes well, we'll be back home on Thursday.
At this point, a big THANK YOU again to all donors and to everyone who helped make this convoy possible.
Thanks to ZESABO, who supports us from time to time with donations.
